I have been extremely busy this week. Spring has finally graced us with it's presence and I wanted to take full advantage of it before it gets crappy again. After glancing at my weather app on my iPad, I saw beautiful weather for several days. That meant it was time to tackle a huge project that we had planned. Painting the exterior of our house. So that is what I have been up to every day, all day long. I am completely exhausted, but it is looking really good. I can't wait to show you. I even had random passerby's yell out of their car that it was looking good. Yay!
The office/craft room has been put on hold due to painting the house. But I did manage to do a quick and easy art project.
I used left over paint and 12x12 canvases that I bought in a 7 pack from Michael's. With a medium size brush, start with the original paint color, paint a straight line. Then add a little bit of white paint to your colored paint and paint another straight line. Keep adding more white paint for every stripe. The darker colors show the ombre effect better. The turquoise ombre is very slight.
I attached these to my Expedit like I did here and here. They are hiding our printer and scanner.
In other news, my dog window seat was featured on
